Rosalind Ensemble - Brown
This Rosalind ensemble consists of 2 pieces: slacks and jacket. The Rosalind slacks have the high waist, long rise and full-legged silhouette popular in the 1940s. The front of the slacks have a single dart at each side for a smooth line from waist to hip and is stitched in a twilight blue wool gabardine. The waistband is 1" wide and the slacks have a center back zipper and 1" hem.
The Rosalind ensemble consists of four pieces: slacks, skirt, jacket, and blouse. The jacket and skirt were based on a vintage pattern from 1946. The twilight blue wool gabardine, belted jacket has tailored yet blouse-like look. The bodice front has shoulder darts that end underneath the crest-shaped, patch pockets stitched at the bust. The lower part of the bodice gathers into a 2" waistband that accommodates the bust. The peplum is smoothly stitched into the lower half of the belt. The sleeves are slim and gather into a 1 1/2" wristband. The Rosalind jacket is enhanced by vintage buttons.
