Frances was re-created from an existing vintage garment from the mid-1930s. This sheer, shirt-waisted day dress is very comfortable, as well as, being flattering to the figure. The bodice front has tucks at the shoulder and the waist. The skirt front has cut-away pockets and a long slender line. The dress buttons up the center front and features notched edging repeated on the piped cuffs on the sleeves. The dress is stitched in a Wedgewood blue, cotton lawn with horizontal, eyelet pinstripes and contrasting white cotton broadcloth.
