Veronica Revisited

When reVamp was founded in 1998, we decided that all of the garments would be named and a short story would be written about the fictional person for which the garment was named. The story about "Veronica" told of a woman that was at a dance with her boyfriend who was off to war the next morning. With the introduction of this silhouette, we revisited Veronica in her life in wartime America. Thus, the name of this dress became "Veronica Revisited".

This lovely dress is composite of elements seen in women's fashion design during the war. The Veronica Revisited is stitched in white, orange and plum cotton mini print. The back bodice has an action pleat that creates a tailored look, but allows for free range of movement of the arms that makes it perfect for dancing. The slim sleeves have gathers at the cap. The six-gore skirt is attached under the bust and features a sash that allows the dress to be cinched in at the waist.
